This is our second ladder that we bought for the bathroom next to the children's room. The previous one, which we used in the master bathroom, is slightly larger and more expensive. Having two slightly different items that do the same job gives me an opportunity to compare them side-by-side. The Munchkin is bigger and stronger. It can easily support an adult's weight, which we have repeatedly tested. However, it is also heavier and bulkier. Therefore, younger children may have difficulty moving it. It folds, but folding and unfolding is not easy and inconvenient, so I would not rely on this function. It is well balanced and does not slip. Mom's Helper (this one) is half the size giving it less surface area but is easy to store and carry. I'm sure it can't handle an adult's weight, but it would be good for kids of all ages. Looks good and costs half the price of a munchkin. It doesn't fold, but the reasonable size makes up for it. It is lightweight and children can easily carry it. The height of this model is 6 inches compared to the 6.5 inches offered by the other brand. It is easy to clean and also non-slip. My conclusion is if you just need it to increase your kids reach, buy it and save $8. However, if you think an adult under 200 pounds can also use it for its intended purpose, then another will do.
