Review on ๐Ÿ’พ WAVLINK USB C 3.0 Dual Bay SATA I/II/III External Hard Drive Docking Station - 6TB Capacity for 2.5 Inch/3.5 Inch HDD/SSD with UASP Support, Offline Clone, and File Backup Options by Sammie Prince

Rugged little vertical docking station with no floppy drive.

I ordered this to replace my USB3 SATA adapter as my old model drives had to sit on the table when copying and the ports were 180 degrees apart from each other. While my old machine is fine for fast work, the drives get very hot when you need to work like a clone long term. This device meets all requirements, drives are inserted vertically and it can be used for testing and cloning without plugging and unplugging drives in USB enclosures. The device itself seems solid enough as it is recognized in Win10 and automatically configured for use with no driver downloads. The device supports SATA-III to improve the transfer speed of drives if they support it, like most new ones. It also supports USAP, which speeds up the operating system on the device and allows for better hardware multitasking on attached drives. Bandwidth might not be the best out of the box, but it supports fast I/O and generally delivers good performance. While offline hard drive cloning may appeal to some, I really prefer using a program to verify that the work is done correctly and completely error-free. For the same reason, I don't like mounting drives into USB cases until they're done. That said, it's still a feature some might enjoy, and a plus for why it's worth buying. I recommend this device for its user-friendly features, vertical hard drive layout for better cooling and stability, high performance, and support for extended standard specifications. So if you're looking for a docking station for a cloning station, or just reinstalling a random TiVo hard drive, you could do a lot worse.
