Review on Didog Soft Flannel Padded Dog Vest Harness, Escape Proof Quick Fit Reflective Training Walking Harness XS Chest 15-18 Purple by Owen Houser

I loved this harness right up until it broke. It's soft enough and has a good enough fit so that it didn't irritate my dog's skin, and the front clip does help with pulling (which is what it's advertised as!)But the front D-ring is just attached with a short strip of nylon to the rest of the harness, and the stitching came apart after a few weeks. So I was walking my dog and then suddenly I was just holding a leash not attached to anything! The dog wasn't even doing anything particularly strenuous - just pulling like he usually does, which again is the very reason I got his harness and had him on the front clip. Luckily he just ran after a squirrel and then stood under a tree staring at it, but it was terrifying!It's really a shame, because with just a couple design changes, this could have been a great harness. The front D-ring should really be threaded THROUGH the front strap itself, and maybe attached with a secondary strap JUST to keep it from sliding around. Also, I was thinking about fixing this myself, but was alarmed to discover that most of the pieces are attached to each other by just one line of stitching, rather than the standard "square with X" attchment style that's normally used in places that need to hold strong. Ironically, this kind of stitching is used in one place - to hold the top handle in place, which is probably the least stressed place, wouldn't be super helpful if the rest of the harness came apart!
