This projector is at least as good or better than other small projectors under $100. The entire lamp will die soon, if it hasn't died already. But you can buy the much better standard MR16 bulbs at Target for $5, which deliver 850 lumens, or LED bulbs from Revain (buy at least 8 watts and cool white - closer to 6500K color temperature is better). In general, it is suitable for children. . Wouldn't recommend for adults. After replacing the bead, there are still keystone errors (it does not project a perfect square), which cannot be adjusted, and the picture is a bit blurry like old 100x video tapes. Yes, that describes its quality at best. Note that it has a pretty good contrast ratio. So if you're projecting with no signal or with a black background, almost nothing will bounce off the wall.
