Made cheaply, used already broken once

I made a sandwich with this sandwich maker for the first time today after ordering. A few minutes after I closed the sandwich maker, I heard a loud bang and the lid flew off. It's just a very weak spring attached with a plastic clip (see attached photo). I am very disappointed in the poor workmanship of this product. I was planning to return it to the manufacturer but am responsible for shipping to send it back for a replacement. It's outrageous. What a waste of $15. Save money and buy something else.
