I bought this light after looking for a mount that doesn't vibrate and gives some flexibility in position. I used it to mount my Edilux light on V-Brake bike forks. My fork was threaded in the back and blind in the front. The bracket is also screwed. I drilled the fork. The sex bolt that goes through the lantern was slightly larger than the hole in the lantern so I had to drill it out. American-style bikes aren't made for German headlights, but it's worth the effort. I was worried it might be unreliable with so many parts but now I'm sure it will hold up with no issues. It was very easy to get the exact height and angle. Tighten the screws a little more and the light is completely fixed and does not vibrate or move. It frees up the rear light output cable at the bottom of the Edilux, leaving space in the middle for the cable to run. I didn't trust the bracket as an electrical ground due to the anodized parts, so I attached the taillight return by clamping it between the side plate and the light bracket tab.
