Images and product description refer to an Ethernet to Lightning adapter* that sends Ethernet data to the Lightning port on the iPad. An Ethernet *splitter* came with separate RJ45 and Lightning power connectors. RJ45 is completely useless for an iPad, but the Lightning connector doesn't actually carry Ethernet data, just power. Therefore, there is no way to transfer data to the device, which is the reason for purchasing this product. Splitters are widely available and cheap, and can be purchased for less than $20 instead of the almost $90 they charge for them. Also, the Lightning connector doesn't fit very securely, and any slight movement will cause it to momentarily disconnect from the iPad -- it takes constant, gentle downward pressure to maintain the connection. I will immediately return the product as it does not meet my requirements. needs and too expensive for what it is.
