Review on 🔌 High-Quality OEM HTC USB Travel Charger Adapter U250 / CNR6300 / 79H00095-14M: Reliable and Fast Charging Solution by Leslie Smith

I bought two of these from Enchanted Trading Co (although the seller doesn't matter in this case) because I found that only my OEM cable and wall adapter needed the battery limited lifespan of my phone if I'm away for more than 12-16 hours at a time. In terms of cost, I got two of these sets (USB cable and wall adapter) for $6.10 each. I thought this was a bargain as local retailers were selling *CABLE ONLY* for between $25-$50. Design wise, the flaw I found with these cables is quite large and it was present with my original cable as well. like these new ones. The cables lack a ribbed plastic jacket near the connector at each end (see each connector image on the Wikipedia page for "USB" for an example of "ribbed plastic jackets"). Due to the lack of a jacket, bending or tensile forces are transmitted directly to the connection between the cable and the connector. This stress causes the cable jacket to separate from the connector, exposing the stranded wire inside, which is also somewhat frayed and unsightly (in the case of my original cable) and also made me question its durability. To solve this problem, I taped both ends of all three of my cables to simulate a molded plastic sleeve, but I'm not optimistic about the benefits. All said and done: 5 stars for value for money, 3 stars for poor durability (no loss of functionality yet), up to 4 stars on average. UPDATE: After using this product daily for a few months, it did exactly what I thought it would: the bare ends near the connectors fell out and the cable stopped working. My device (phone) is no longer recognized as connected to the computer. Doesn't charge anything even though the cable looks ok. I have no doubt that the unprotected voltage at the ends of the cable caused stress and the wires were disconnected/broken from the pins of the connector. 5 stars for good value for money. 1 star for poor durability.
