Looking at the purpose of these earbuds I would say that Husky has done a very good job of fulfilling that purpose. They are designed to cover carpets well, catch dirt falling from shoes and are easier to clean than carpets. Cleaning car carpets from garbage is a chore. The Husky liners are designed to make this easier, and they do a good job. Is there a tiny gap here and there that exposes the carpet? Yes, but that is very acceptable. If you pull out the carpet on the 2nd floor before vacuuming, will you throw garbage on the carpet? Of course you will. Vacuum first. The feel of the liner is more like plastic than soft rubber, but my shoe didn't complain.
