Review on DryRight! Hanger Shoulder Forms: The Ultimate Solution for Wrinkle-Free Clothes by Samantha Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

If you had never had shapes like this, you would probably be more impressed than I am.

I bought a few similar shapes many years ago. I thought about rating them first and then buying more if I wanted to. Unfortunately I couldn't find them anymore and I still regret not buying more. They just slip on a hanger (pretty much any hanger), the shoulders are a bit wider and have a better shape. They are also more durable. I've had them for over 10 years and will probably use them for the rest of my life. Their width is not adjustable, but since they fit me, that's not a minus for me. I've been looking for additional shoulder shapers like this for a long time. None of them looked right. This guy looked as correct as ever. Their advantage is that their width is adjustable, which isn't that important to me, but then again, if they were too wide and static, that wouldn't be very good either. They do not fit all hangers. It was supposed to be a very basic hanger, no big notches at the top, no hooks at the bottom, etc. When I tried to put the form on the hanger, the little tab at the bottom that held it in place didn't quite fit. a little and it looked like it was about to break. That means you better hang it on a suitable hanger and stop messing with it because if you mess with that valve a few more times it will break. They are made in the USA. It's refreshing, isn't it?! This is definitely for me as I try to stop buying junk whenever possible. The plastic used doesn't give off that disgusting chemical stench like you would just walk into a dollar store. Overall as there isn't much choice on the market (there is absolutely nothing comparable in local stores here) I think this is probably your best bet. Others I checked looked sturdier, but the shapers also felt oddly ribbed and I figured clothing might leave a rib mark on them. It's hard to buy a pig in a poke, and I don't prefer it, but local choices are becoming more limited by the day.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Without insurance
