I tried both cables but neither of them lets you charge your phone in turbo mode. I switched the cable to a different brand and MotoZPlay immediately went into turbocharged mode. The cables appear to function like a data cable and the build quality appears to be good. But I would look elsewhere for the charging cable. Review update: After doing more research and monitoring the current/voltage from my charger using the Ampere app and a USB power meter from DROK Hardware, I have a better understanding of the cables. The cable I "thought" could charge my phone in "TURBO" mode actually only charged at 5V/500mA. No fast charging at all. I found a charger that supports both USB-C and USB-A charging. With Cable Matters I could now get 5V/1850mA. I can get 5V/2450mA from the Motorola charger that came with the phone. So the moral I learned. Don't trust your charger as it plays as big a role in charging as the cable.
