First time with this product. I will preface my review by saying that I did not purchase this product for the stated aesthetic purpose, but rather as an abdominal support shirt to relieve the symptoms and discomfort of an epigastric hernia until I can surgically repair it. However, it did have the effect of losing weight, although that wasn't really my goal. For the purpose I bought it for I have to say I was a bit skeptical at first but it has turned out to be a great purchase and a complete game changer! I even bought two more! It took a bit of getting used to as it is DEFINITELY a compression shirt/vest but the support it offered my weakened abs really made the difference and was worth the slight initial discomfort. And the best part is that it is much more discreet than traditional hernia belts! I can wear it under a regular t-shirt and you can't tell it will NOT fit most hernia girdles despite their inaccurate claims to the contrary. People of great courage are often not considered, even with bigger belts! But that was no problem with this product! Finally, size wise I could wear a 2x shirt but I prefer my shirts to be a little loose so I usually buy 3x. I bought a 4x vest and it fits perfectly! As such, I would recommend wearing shoes 1-2 sizes larger than you normally wear, depending on how much compression material you need.
