Review on OGIO Renegade Large Black Pindot by Tone Hatton

I bought this to use for night trips and general "casual backpack" shopping. The size is listed as 30L but after receiving it and comparing it to another 30L bag (from Oakley) it's either not 30L or the layout is just lousy and you can't use the space. On the plus side, there's a pocket for a laptop. has very good padding and fits a lenovo 15" laptop very well. I doubt it will fit a 17" laptop like they claim. To be honest I've never had a backpack with this type of Seen protection for a laptop so lots of points for it.Apart from the laptop compartment the rest of the bag is surprisingly not as roomy as you might think.The main pocket is very high and wide but not deep.Probably good for certain purposes though I had to pack it quite awkwardly along with clothes, toiletries, socks etc. Maybe some people like having a few small pockets to separate things but that comes at the expense of the main compartment.I understand the marketing appeal of organizational pockets but really fills them up anyone with 500 random items always shown in photos?also the shoulder straps are quite short in terms of ergonomics.I'm 6ft tall chest girth 42 inches and had to fully loosen the shoulder straps to get a good fit. It's fine, but for those with larger breasts or who are taller, this may not work. I suppose the tailor could change the straps for something longer, but that seems like a big design oversight. Overall construction seems good, the fabric has an interesting rough texture that probably resists abrasion and stains better than traditional ballistic nylon. visually appealing. I ended up bringing it back because the design philosophy just didn't make sense to me. It might be good for someone who just needs to carry a laptop and some random items to and from the office, but as a day pack or night bag, it fails.
