Don't worry

I was really excited when I saw this so I grabbed it and now I'm a little sorry. This is a well-presented set of plastic cogs that may cause you some trouble - depending on how you use them and how hard you're feeling (LIGHT TOUCH required here). The wheels are fine but one of mine is defective (52) as the first couple of holes are too close to the teeth and always skip. What really caught my eye were the extensions for the huge frames. They connect freely, and a couple of my "F" pieces had never had holes punched. One thing to keep in mind when purchasing this set, ESPECIALLY for kids...large parts of the frame are very fragile. They must be disassembled and reassembled with extreme care or you will end up breaking off the locking mechanisms. One last thing, I don't know why people are complaining about the putty holding the rings. There are NO PIN HOLES in these new kits to hold the RINGS unless people use decorative nails to use the large holes the old kits had but were never meant for pins. It's 2015, not 1967. Putty is way better than the pencils I had to use as a kid. The pins always had to go in cardboard or something and the ring would shake which reduced accuracy - the putty holds the pieces securely although trying to assemble huge frames is a pain in the ass as they don't stick together and at least that's the case with mine Kit some of the holes weren't cut properly so I have plastic tabs preventing some of the parts from being used. Look for WILD RINGS. You pay a little more but this is a quality set, not this one.
