I'm not sure if I received a defective product but the product I received is unusable due to a terrible smell. When I first opened it it had a very VERY sweet fruity smell but when I put it on in the shower I noticed that the sweet smell was overpowered by the horrible chemical smell. Like an industrial glue. The fumes actually made me dizzy, like inhaling fumes from paint or glue. I couldn't even leave it on my hair for 5 minutes. I had to wash it out but the smell still lingers in my hair. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this? I'm not normally sensitive to fragrances at all. But it smelled so strongly of chemicals that I felt nauseous and dizzy.
