5 stars for appearance and quality; 2 stars for performance on my hair - - - so 3 because performance is more important. If you have thin hair and lack volume, this is not for you. While it's nice to look at, it just won't stay in place - even after I sanded the burrs a bit (yes, out of desperation). Gradually unwinds and everything. Not to mention that I expected two combs and only received one. Apparently I didn't read carefully enough. However, I can imagine that it would work well on thick and voluminous hair.
