I bought these 1" PVC fittings to complete my 1" PVC pipe paint booth. These fittings were well made and solid thickness made of PVC material. However, I did notice that the PVC pipe went all the way into the fitting. In addition, the pipe hole of the PVC furniture fitting is deeper (1 5/16" deep vs. 1" deep) compared to the equivalent plumbing fitting. Since there is no compression in these PVC furniture fitting holes, you must therefore be sure that both the pipe and the fitting have a full cement coating. Unlike their plumbing counterparts, these 1 inch PVC furniture fittings do not have a tapered insertion hole, so the PVC pipe will not be squeezed into the PVC furniture fitting. This requires that when the PVC pipe is connected to the fitting, it must be inserted to the bottom of the pipe hole to ensure the pipe is fully connected to the fitting.
