Not very good
I bought this to fit small split rings about 10mm in diameter. I found it easier to do by hand than with a tool. The tip of the pliers is too large and imprecise to use on a 10mm split ring. Even with large keychain-sized split rings, this doesn't work so well. The surface of the pliers is too rough to easily open the ring. I will probably return.
