- These straps work great - they are MUCH longer than I need, but it's pretty easy to remove the buckle, cut off the extra strap and use a fire clicker to to seal the cut short tuck the cut end into the buckle where it will remain permanently attached (a good factory cut end is something you see/use regularly).
