Very Useful on in ground sprinkler valve connections

Used these to connect Orbit solenoid controlled sprinkler valves. One of these on the sprinkler side of the valve enables the valve to be replaced in the future without having to cut any pipes.

Pros

Used four when I replumbed pool pump. EZ to install and excellent seals. Would buy again.

Cons

The white union jetstream design is visually unappealing and may clash with existing plumbing hardware in the space.

👍 a 5 years ago I install these on a cabin water supply so I could remove it for the winter months, the O ring was slightly smaller than the big box store ones I had extra of. I ordered these to replace the hot water supply and main supply. Oops I only needed the O rings.
