Review on Good Grips Stainless Steel Flexible Turner by OXO, Medium (34491) by John Miranda

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Know how to use it! It's great, but it's not magic.

Great little fin. I only use mine to flip eggs and bacon. Remember this is not a spatula! Its extremely slim design is intended to be flexible enough to get under everything. The thickness of the blade is about 1/3mm, so it's not very good for cutting or separating things, except maybe something like scrambled eggs. The spatula is bent or not strong enough to cut food. These people are IDIOTS and I wouldn't trust them with a stapler. It's a gymnast, that's all. The reason it's curved is that if it were flat (as some 1-star reviews requested) it would sag backwards under the weight of what you're flipping over. It's like trying to turn something over with a piece of paper. The piece of paper will bend back and forth slightly, but fold it in half so it's stiff enough to stand on its own. Same idea here. This is basically designed to only bend in one direction. It doesn't bend back easily, so you can flip things. The only reason I'm changing the rating from 5 to 3 stars is because the welds are weak. I had the first one for 2 years and the last one only lasted 9 months! Superb little gymnast, just wish it was more durable

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
