Love the fact that the great value filter comes with sponges and bio media. I give 2 stars for the suction power because it is very low. I like that about the filter. BUT, if you have bigger fish eating bigger food, that food will stick to those sponges and not get through the filter. Definitely recommend gravel to clean your aquarium a little more or more thoroughly during water changes.
