These bags didn't fit in my car. I had to cut slits in the cardboard so the bag would slide completely over where it was attached. Yes, the fastener is cardboard, not plastic like real Miele bags. These bags are not made of heavy fabric like real Miele bags, they are much thinner. I wouldn't buy them again. Although genuine Miele bags are more expensive, I think it's better to spend the extra money and buy a product that works properly.
