September 2018 update When I first bought these mics in March 2018, after 6 months of use I found that I still really like these mics and that after 2 times a week at my karaoke shows worked well. . My singers and I prefer our Intopow WM-333 mics over the Sound Town SWM20-U2HH 500MHz mic set I bought in July 2018 because the Innoow WM-333 mics are good weight and solid construction. Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, the WM-333 set used 600MHz frequencies, which was a serious problem and for that reason I gave a critical review and gave this product two stars. A few weeks ago I unexpectedly received a box in the mail. with the new Intopow WM-333 microphone set. I did not ask for a replacement as my original WM-333 kit still worked well and met my needs despite the 600MHz issue. Nevertheless, I appreciate this gesture very much. I tested them and while these mics were identical in design and appearance, I found that this new set featured a hardware change that uses 500MHz frequencies. I've been using this new 500MHz Innopow WM-333 kit along with my old 600MHz kit for about 3 weeks and they work great. I created a new frequency chart that I will include in this review. I feel like I can improve my rating to 5 stars. First review March 2018: I agree with many positive comments about these microphones. They are solidly built and sound great. And of course the price was right! And that's a shame, because these mics use 600MHz frequencies, and at least in the US, you can't (by law) use most of the channels of mic 1 or any of the channels of mic 2 after July 13, 2020 because The FCC recently auctioned almost all 600MHz spectrum for cellular use. I have an amateur license and I remember hearing some news about it so I should have known better. That's the point as far as I understand. My observation is that mic 1 tunes 40 channels from 645.300MHz to 664.300MHz while mic 2 tunes another set of 40 channels from 665.300MHz to 684.300MHz. Most of these frequencies are affected by the FCC's new band assignment. Of the frequencies these microphones use, only channels 2–5 (657.300 MHz) and channels 3–8 (663.800 MHz) on microphone 1 are permitted for unlicensed use. None of the microphone 2 channels are in legal use. This is how I interpret the new FCC rules, although I admit I could be wrong. Please see the frequency table I have created and sent with this review. What are the consequences? Well, the FCC isn't going to arrest you or anything for using them. The more likely implication is that you can probably use mic 1 if you tune it to the correct channels, but mic 2 will be completely useless because you can't find a channel without interference if you live in a cell phone area. Companies are rolling out their new 5G service or what they will be using 600MHz for. I have not done my homework. Spring. I hope I can save you some frustration. Do yourself a favor and buy a 500MHz wireless microphone. As for me, I'll just keep using these mics until I can. I live in a small Midwest town, so we may not see these 600MHz services here until they are implemented in larger metropolitan areas.
