Straight out of the package, it is obvious the colors of the orange mandala design are just as true and vibrant as in the photo. I did get the plus size (even though a solid size 16 can fit in the smaller one) because I didn't want to colors to fade as the fabric stretched over my thighs and butt. At the same time I bought these, I bought another pair of leggings from another company because the photo was of a true red print (the only reason I bought them was because of the red) but got a deep rose instead, so I was uber pleased to see the true deep rich colors of these leggings from this company. That's huge when you are trying to color coordinate with tops and sports bras.The waist is cut so that it does not come in so much that it looks like it will cut into my 33" waist; the elastic band is not very wide but does not feel overly thin or flimsy.To the hand, the fabric has mixed feel of soft cotton and light sheen of polyester and spandex. It has a very good amount stretch that feels like it will snap back for a long time and a and thickness that might even offer some light smoothing. I wish I liked the other patterns; I'd certainly buy one of each if I did. 10 stars if I could give them. If they do not hold up as I think they will, rest assured I will update accordingly.
