I will give a very honest review of the AP80pro. Firstly I have an AP80, I really like this little player but given the possibility of having a balanced output I wanted one. Initially I was torn between R3 pro and AP80pro. In the end I chose the Ap80pro because I had such good experiences with the AP80 that I didn't want to play with the R3pro. The R3pro is also about $25 more expensive. The build quality is excellent. It feels solid. Hidiz listened to the ap80 owner and improved the touch. Now he feels better and has less play. It's slightly larger than the ap80 but otherwise almost the same as the ap80. sound quality. Well, this is where it gets complicated. Why? Music experience varies from person to person. This depends on the type of devices you have connected to the small DAP. Listening to a 128kbps MP3 file is not the same as listening to a lossless audio file. Listening to music through $10 headphones isn't the same as listening to the Sens HD600. So I want to say that this DAP works great for my lossless files on my HD600. It sounds good with my Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 and my Sony 1000XM3 in both wireless and wired modes. The interface is the same as ap80, R3 and R3pro. Gibi SO 3.0. It's a bit difficult to move around due to the small screen. Some people complain that it's too small, right? This is the main reason for the purchase. It's small and I can take it anywhere.
