Usually it is enough to unscrew the orange cap and the tape covering the air vents and insert the cartridge. Not this time. There was no way he was going to turn. In the end I just decided that I was going to take that cap off no matter what. Turns out he just took off. There was a silicone stopper that didn't allow the cartridge to sit deep enough in the lid for it to rotate. I wanted to post a photo but I gave up and can't find it.
