This works particularly well with large electronic connectors. No longer supplied with a bolt however, so it is not possible to remove the existing exhaust plate and bolt this block in place. It fits on a plate, but doesn't sit snugly against the wall and wobbles a bit. Still way better than trying some other power strip adapters (unless your top outlet is controlled by a light switch). Luckily I don't have to constantly switch plugs, so it stays pretty stable as long as you hold it in place before switching plugs. I can try removing the outlet cover and see how it works.
