I don't know what's up with all the bad chinese junk on the internet trying to pass itself off as quality product but finds quality product very harsh - especially when when they lie about the specs. Most charcoal filters you find online are cheap junk with enough charcoal to make a cylindrical filter meaning they have very little ability to filter anything. True carbon block filters hold over a pound of carbon and filter tens of thousands of gallons. The brand I used to buy from Revain was replaced by this Chinese junk so I went in search of new good filters. I thought I found them with them when the specs say each filter weighs 1.5 pounds. So I ordered them and it turns out they lied about the specs. These filters weigh 415 grams or 0.9 pounds each. ALMOST 40% LESS THAN RECOMMENDED. I don't know if these are genuine Pentek cartridges because they are wrapped in cellophane which is not even sealed. The packaging is open on one side for all four filters I received. There is no logo or writing on the cartridges themselves, there is only a sticker on the packaging with the inscription "Pentek CBC-10” in plain text. I strongly suspect that this is just a fake item as I highly doubt a legitimate company like Pentair would commit such a scam.
