Dries quickly but blends well

Oh my god, worth the money. I'm glad I bought this and not the $17 version at my art supply store. Unfortunately, I don't like dry clay outdoors. I work better with oven baked clay like Super Sculpey as I can take my time and adjust whenever I want without worrying about it drying out. Hearty dries VERY quickly. You must have an idea before you open this article and start sculpting. The catch was that at one point I decided to make a pretty simple snail. and the body and shell are already dry before I can glue them together. It also sucks because then I have trouble molding small parts and if I have to change it, the smooth finish is beyond repair (or at least I haven't looked for how to restore it). In the end I glued the parts together. At a large size, this is the only air dry clay I've played around with that really hides creased lines! Or if you wrap a piece around something and try to sew the ends together to make it look like one endless piece, it works great! Until it's dry. This tone works well for small projects like keychains and jewelry.

Pros
  • Made in Japan
Cons
  • Expensive
