My daughter is 42 inches tall and weighs 37 pounds. According to Danskin's chart, she *should* wear a size 4. However, this size is too short for her body (and she doesn't have an exceptionally long torso). It's not just that 4 were very neat, they bullied in all the wrong places. Nobody wants to watch a 4-year-old choose his swimsuit for an hour. The medium size fits perfectly with some room to grow. Disregarding the sizing issues, the fabric is really nice and dense. The shovel isn't too wide at all and the sleeves stay put with no issues. We chose the size for Danskin microfibre tights. In addition, the intermediate option is ideal. If I find out that we can have leotards in different colors, I will definitely buy this leotard in other colors.
