Review on Crest Design Water-Resistant Wristlet Clutch Women's Handbags & Wallets by Citylife Padilla

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good size, unique design, meticulous stitching

I always carry a small handbag with me. I prefer bracelets because I can wear them, I can usually put them in my back pocket when I need my hands, and on the rare days I'm carrying a large bag with me, the bracelet can be used as a wallet. I've used smaller bracelets that mostly hold cash and cards and didn't like them - I really prefer something that holds a lot (including my phone) on those days when I don't have pockets. I love the size of this item - it's big enough for my Google Pixel 3 XL phone (if it comes in at an angle), as well as money, a pen, and other essentials. I could certainly stuff more in if I wanted to. I don't think I'd want to wear it regularly without a phone or something solid in it as it doesn't have much structure on its own. The wrist strap is large enough to carry in my large hands (yes) and feels like a strong connection to the handbag itself. The strap is detachable. The unique interior design of the bag - a zipper opens to reveal contents - almost like 3 separate bags sewn together. Inside there are 5 different storage areas, one of which has an extra zip (and multiple card slots), which is really an original design. However, once you open that large outer zip, there's nothing in the outer compartments to hold things in, which is a little inconvenient when I keep my phone in a compartment and open it regularly because I don't want something else falling out. I can add a small mini purse or even a zipper inside to keep things from falling out. My biggest concern with the bag is how it will hold up as the stitching isn't amazing. There are some loose/frayed threads near the zipper and the top stitch used on the strap and around the zipper is just too long. The stitches are big enough that I'm concerned they will snag and break or just not provide the stability needed. The fabric itself makes a durable impression. The pattern is almost washed out (maybe because of the water resistance?) but it looks nice. Overall, although the seams are a bit long, I'm happy with it and hope it lasts into the summer.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • sad packaging
