Review on πŸ”ͺ Inspire Creativity with 20-Piece Metal Cutting Dies for DIY Scrapbook Card Making Craft by Michelle Langley

To be honest they are small but in a good way.

I don't make many cards. Maybe in the end since I have so many carving knives that will do the trick. What I do is I love cutting shapes out of materials including notebook covers etc. That's what led me to die cutting in the first place. While digital electric cutters do amazing things and open up to a world of digitization and creative custom design, they also have their limitations. Child was between two worlds. In the end, I prefer die cutting because it's a faster and easier approach to my final products and creations. No fiddling with digital programs, no downloading or trying to recreate other designs. Not to mention that the earlier machines weren't as good at fabric and thicker materials as the new ones. My digital machine is over 10 years old. Inspired by Pazzle. Is it still in production, let alone supported? So I got into this world of carving. I rarely do cards. However, these punches are great for making cards. I can even use something to cut out the word and leave out the clipping so you can see it in the hole it leaves. What I mainly do I think outside the box. Don't play around so much and paint within lines. They cut most card stock and paper, as well as HTV vinyl and self-adhesive vinyl. I have not tried on my extra thick vinyl fabrics or artisan faux leathers which are my main products. I use many of them for keychains, notebook covers and book covers and personalize these items and add a bit of whimsy to them. I like stamps that can be placed anywhere on the piece to leave a decently legible item if it's a word or an alphabet. Therefore, the alphabets that are in a frozen form for carving will not be useful to me. These are single words so you can manipulate them anywhere. However, most card makers tend to add texture and layers to the card, adding more meaning to their design. I sort of knocked out a word or an effect after a hole. These are smaller but overall beautiful perforated words. I recommend that you use scrap paper/cardboard when you receive them to make a temporary template so you can see the size and know what it says. Some people have trouble reading inside out and backwards etc. So the pre-cut piece really helps determine your size and word. Good luck and recommend. Remember this is not a die that will fail if your machine cannot punch. You need to know or research what gaskets, plates, etc. are ideal for your machine and its success. I have 3 different brands of machines: mini electric, 6 manual and 8.5 manual. All the different brands almost all have my stamps, but not always. I can't run my steel rulers through the mini electric period. But although I've been told it doesn't work with the Sizzix Impression, it does work with the small ones for decoration if I use the right pads and something called a sandwich. I don't like the term "sandwich" but that's what is used in trading. So good luck everyone. Always stay safe and have fun and quirks in your life. Wait for them to continue.
