Beards are disgusting. With them your skin becomes smooth.
I know these multi-blade razors are generally not as good as high-quality single-blade razors. But quality single-blade razors are hard to come by, and as long as you wash and exfoliate a few times or more per week with a cleanser that really cleans, you should be able to avoid ingrown hairs and corns. Shower, I can keep my face in check with just a few extra minutes in the shower. I usually shave about 5 times a week and one cartridge lasts 6 weeks with no discomfort even if I skip shaving for a few days. Definitely worth it.
