(man's review). Living in a townhouse in the city, I have no other option to play golf than to drive to the golf course. However, we have a very large living room with 15 foot ceilings and oriental rugs, so sometimes I took a wedge and practiced on the rug. Knowing that this is obviously not good for carpets, I looked for a grass carpet and found this one. I was a little apprehensive about the small size, but when I thought logically that my golf club would only hit a very small area (a few square inches), I figured this might work. When I received it, I was very pleased with the quality - the bottom is thick foam rubber, and the grass on top is very thick, at the level of each shooting mat. You won't be wearing that anytime soon. I don't need a target, but when I want to practice my golf shots I put it on the floor (on carpet so it stays in place) in a spot where I can safely make a full swing. Do not damage our furniture or other valuables. It works great and even if I don't actually hit the ball I can at least work on my swing mechanics and try things that I can take to the range for further practice. If you have a golf blunder and don't have a driving range, this is the answer. Highly recommended.
