They only last a month or two before falling apart.
I use this as my master keyring. I only needed one and I thought the huge pack was ridiculous but I'm glad I have extras because about a month after you've used one of these you suddenly get smacked out of your pocket or under the nail in the leg when you go in your grab bag. Pocket because the wire has frayed and/or the end (the part that screws in) has fallen off leaving the bare wire in your pocket and your keys dangling below. I like lanyard key rings but they are not durable and very poorly made. My dad had one my whole childhood and it never fell apart. they don't even come close.
