Review on Fresh Foam Evare V1 Running Shoe for Women by New Balance by Christopher Wells

I bought these to replace a worn pair of NB 680v5s. I was a runner eons ago (and many pounds) but I'm constantly returning to walking and adding a few jogging intervals to my walks. I was looking for a neutral shoe with lots of cushioning. That's all! My 680v5s were regular 10.5s, not wide. I wear running shoes from 10 to 11.5 inches depending on the fit. I have a "C" foot, so it's somewhere between "regular" and "wide". After reading the reviews I settled on the 11, going by instinct and choosing the Wide. When I took them out of the box they looked huge but they fit perfectly. So my feet are huge. Ha. My ankles slipped a bit walking around the house but today I laced them through the lace hole and they don't slip at all. They don't have an aggressive arc. I have a high arch and instep. I'll probably put my Superfeet insoles in for extra arch support. I ran 2 miles (no extra calipers) and they felt good. I will buy another pair to alternate or have one when this pair wears out. Such a big discount on a really solid pair of shoes.
