This kettle sounds great on paper and I love some of the features. The glass design looks clean and modern and it's easy to see how much water is inside. The temperature-controlled LEDs in the base give you an instant indication of how hot the water is (although that's more for show than useful). And of course the ability to set the temperature below the boiling point is great. However, this has two major disadvantages: 1. The kettle smells of cancer. Even after 2 weeks of daily use hoping the smell will go away, it still smells strongly of plastic. Does not remember the set temperature. Every time I want to turn it on I have to press the temperature button a couple of times for it to find the right temperature. It becomes obsolete very quickly. I went back to my old dumb kettle that works with one button and doesn't smell like cancer.
