Update 07/30/2018: I continue to use this shampoo/body gel and I like it, but it works (when I use it without contact lenses shower) is now burning something - I suspect the formula has changed a bit. Since this product is already everywhere, in every supermarket, in every major store, I have to assume that due to the large quantities they have to produce, they may have compromised and changed the ingredients. No issues with my skin, and the momentary sensitivity of the eyeball is hardly worth mentioning, but "not stinging at all" is no longer the case. So I'm deducting a star. Update 7/23/2017: Up to five stars, this thing works for me (and when it comes to skin, it's always very personal). Itching has been greatly reduced, surprisingly not at all on the feet, and the cleanser is quite concentrated so you don't need to use much, experiment with smaller amounts than you're used to. I am very happy. Initial Assessment: Due to constant skin sensitivity, which two doctors gave me conflicting opinions about (don't you know the dermatologist's instructions didn't work on sch.), I tried removing all the irritants from synthetic fibers in clothing and underwear to unnecessary chemicals in detergents , allergen-free, fragrance-free cleaning products, whatever. I've also reduced the amount of skin degreaser I use as I've learned from the internet that skin oils are protective and it may not be very good to completely remove them every day. Eventually I switched to Johnson's Baby Moisture Wash, Vanilla Oatmeal, 15 Ounce from the grocery store but using it once a week when not wearing extended wear contacts made my eyes sting - reading the label I noticed that, Despite being hypoallergenic and lacking in tears, it contains fragrances. It's not good, so I've now switched to trying this *substance* from Burt's Bees unscented. a bit strange but certainly not harmful and in fact this is the least degreasing formula I've used in the past few years in search of less aggressive substances. My skin isn't oily and we'll see how well it behaves as summer approaches, but if it doesn't sting my eyes then it's done and I think that makes it safe for your baby's skin too. . I should add that as a baby's skin grows, it regenerates much faster than yours or mine - remember, you have MUCH more skin than your baby. Their metabolism has to work way harder to keep things going than a kid's, don't believe the marketers, kids don't spend hours a day in diesel particulates and hydrocarbons with man-made fibers rubbing them all over (I hope!?). I just can't think of any reason now that I've been forced to think about why someone would use something on their skin and sting something. The burning sensation is a warning sign when your nerve endings are realizing that the chemicals are harmful. Lathering, by the way, is one of those things that has no real function, and often detergents and shampoos have foaming agents added to them that do nothing but foam โ which is why, if you use the right amount in your car, your hypoallergenic detergent will hardly foam, because these foaming agents don't there are what is good. So don't use Johnson & Johnson baby products on your baby in my opinion and at the moment this Burt's Bee laundry detergent seems to be just what the doctor ordered and I find a little bit of it helps you don't have to apply it . . I'll update this as I continue, I have to go through three bottles, if there are no updates I'm odor free, happy and, uh, "not charred" ;)
