Some people don't realize that when they have a USB-C laptop charger, that port is actually a USB port that is used to connect external devices can work just like any other USB port. I connected this hub to my charging port and charged the laptop through the hub's PD port and now I use the charging port to charge and connect peripherals with the laptop. The HDMI output works fine, now I can connect another monitor to my laptop. My 27" 2560 x 1440 monitor runs at 60Hz so there is no slowdown compared to a direct connection. I can now turn off the laptop simply by unplugging this hub instead of 3 cables. The only cable left is the Thunderbolt connection to my 2nd monitor, which I tested doesn't work from the USB-C port on the hub, that's understandable, it's not a TB hub after all.
