This watch meets all the requirements of a traditional diver's watch: unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown with protection, 200 m water resistance, etc. Angularity throughout. It appears that the protrusions are growing out of the case. Each of them follows the angle of a Japanese-style armor-piercing blade. For the first 15 seconds, the bezel markers resemble the radial pattern seen on a Japanese shield. The bezel itself slopes slightly, and the knurling around the edge is beautifully intricate. They're big enough to draw attention to themselves, but not too big like the giant, dumb clocks that are trending at the sales rat mob these days. In addition, the semi-glossy black dial has a mesh-like texture that looks particularly attractive. I considered replacing the flat mineral crystal with a domed sapphire crystal, but no, this watch has straight lines and angles; it should not be diluted with curves. Also, good mineral crystal can be almost as hard as sapphire, but more shatterproof. Cons: Some reviewers had issues with bezel alignment. I strongly suspect someone would want to make sure they are buying a Japanese made pattern as mine are immaculate and the fit and finish is perfect. The steel bracelet, while serviceable, is clumsy. While I like the aesthetic, I didn't really like how they fit my wrist. As soon as I replaced the strap with a good quality silicone strap, it instantly became my favorite pairing with my Breitling Avenger, with just enough weight to inspire confidence without feeling too heavy and surprisingly not as bulky as one would expect. ; The awkwardness is gone with the relatively inflexible bracelet. Accuracy? I haven't really tried to measure them because so far they seem to be on par with my other mechanical watches like the Ball Master Engineer II and Zodiac Super Seawolf 53. It doesn't bother me because anyone sane about accuracy would still go with quartz... and I have an Omega Seamaster and an Edox Hydro-Sub (as well as a Casio). Due to the relatively low price, I'm actually considering getting another one, maybe with an orange dial or a PADI edition - I'm that happy with it. If you are looking for a diver that will stand out inconspicuously, I cannot recommend this watch highly enough. Just make sure you check the watch you buy beforehand. If you can't, I believe Seiko has a good warranty.
