Despite all the bad reviews about these front arms, I bought them and installed them on my '08 Nightster. Some of the negative comments are from possibly unqualified people to do this setup. This is a fairly simple setup. Also, the instructions seem to have been updated after some previous reviews. Mine came with 4 page illustrated and detailed instructions. If I have any complaints, it's the difference in finish from one piece to another. Some parts are very shiny, some are dull or almost black. I didn't use footpegs or shifters because there were already better HD units on the bike. I would recommend these controls to anyone who doesn't want to shell out $350 plus the cost of true HD controls. 4 stars only because of the workmanship, I'm not worried about the safety of the product. PS The use of Loctite goes without saying.
