Too many bad pens best when drawing

These pens have just been opened up to use and 12 out of 60 of them either don't work at all or are very scratchy and work for 2 seconds then stop to function . Some had curved tips, I've included photos of one and the pins attached to paper. Even pens that work don't work that well. Obviously I got lucky with a crappy batch.
