I wish I had known about this type of item when I had my first baby! I explored many different areas before settling on this one and I'm glad I did. It is very comfortable, compact, durable, lightweight, easy to put on and take off. I also bought a sun visor which is sold separately as we will be using it at the beach, park and backyard and it gets very hot where we live so it was a must have. Door - both myself and my 3 year old can easily get in and out for a little play with baby and the three of us fit in relatively comfortably too. that's why we put it up in our living room, but we also took it with us to visit our grandparents and also used it in the backyard. It's not heavy by any means, and the included strap bag seems to be of good quality. The only downside I see so far is that since it's just a tent material I wish the floor was thicker, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I did not decide to buy a separate hexagonal mattress. In our house I have a playpen that sits on a thick playmat that we already installed for our older child as we have hard floors. I used a thick blanket under my grandparents' house since it has hardwood floors, and outside on the lawn I just laid an outdoor rug underneath for a little extra cushion. Technically hexagonal mattresses shouldn't be used in the playpen (I see that's how they're sold on the listings), only underneath due to suffocation hazards (there's a warning label on the inside of the playpen too). Haven't used the sun visor yet but tried it on to see how it fits together and is very easy to put on. Overall, I highly recommend this playpen!
