When I first received this unit I couldn't find any channels after completing the channel scan. After I returned the first device and got a new device, once the channel search was complete, I was again unable to find any channels. It turns out that in the software on the box the signal type is set to "cable" by default. If you have trouble scanning channels, do the following: • From the home screen, press the Menu key. • Use the right arrow to navigate to the Channel Search tab. • Change the Single Channel Type from Cable to Antenna, then select Auto Search.
