As many people know, HDCP protection makes it impossible for a person to record anything that uses its protection with a digital signal such as HDMI. The PlayStation 3 is a bit notorious for having HDCP protection that extends to everything, not just a specific app. This means that capturing gameplay from a video game is not possible unless (a) analog signals such as composite and component are used, (b) an HDMI 1.4b splitter is used, or (c) the PS3 HDCP -Protection is removed by hacking debugging. I mention this because this device is advertised as compatible with PS3. While it's technically correct (it displays well), I should mention that it can't compete with this device, lest those in the know buy it for the wrong reasons, hence the star deduction. want to update the "Customer Service Card" in the field to describe it correctly. At least it has a nice design.
