Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

I ran it with the HDDScan ver3.3 program, no bad sectors were found. This is the first Toshiba drive I have purchased in the last 10 years. Long decided what to take: Take again WD Black or this one. Long story short, I decided to take a chance. Seems to be satisfied so far. After all, surprisingly, this disc has been on the market for half a year, and no one has heard much about it at all. I dug around the Toshiba website for a long time, the only thing I dug up there, this model was created for round-the-clock work and for reliable storage of information in enterprises (namely, for torrents, I need it, the computer works at least 16 hours a day, without stopping disks, I entered a ban on stopping the spindles for all disks in your computer, of which there are a lot of sticks and mostly WD (already two Green WD disks have died, unable to withstand even a simple rotation for 2 years, they were like movie storage). My board is GA-MA770- UD3 with a SATA 2 controller recognized the disk, which is good, because old chipsets do not always recognize modern disks. P. S: I have been using the first disk for more than a year - the flight is normal, and during this time I also bought a couple of pieces. It is this model, not others. All other AF - which I am not going to buy anymore. In my mind, advanced format is a sign of disgusting quality, regardless of the manufacturer, because due to their high density, they simply fail. True, AF has its advantages - they are cheaper by a third.

Pros
  • Reliable. Saving almost 500 in money compared to the WD Black series. The linear read speed started at 160 KBytes/s and then gradually dropped to 100KBytes/s towards the end of the disk. Moreover, it turned out not to be a curved, slightly curved line, as it happens, but almost straight. According to the readings of linear reading, this disk outperformed my Western Digital WD6000BLHX (WD velociraptor series, by the end of the disk it read only 95KBytes / s).
Cons
  • Like all disks of this class, they make noise with their heads, of course, not as much as WD velociraptor disks (these generally rattle). But it feels a little quieter than the well-known WD Black series. Another drawback is that this disc is quite difficult to find on sale (shops buy in small batches). A month ago there was a storm in the Philippines, where everything was destroyed, and it is there that the plant for the production of these disks is located, maybe the plant was also destroyed, they are silent about this in the news.
