I bought this and two other sets as part of my wife and two daughters nail salon Valentine's Day surprise. With all the shutdowns in California, I figured they would enjoy it. I know nothing about nail polish so my review is a mix of reactions from three women in my life. I'll start with my guilt. I didn't know gel polish needed a top and base coat. Luckily, a daughter not only had the necessary accessories, but also a UV dryer. I bought a new dryer so the process was pretty quick for three women using two dryers. The women initially chose from 18 different colors. The phrase "different touches for different people" really applies to nail polish. My youngest daughter loved the Macaron Girly Colors Collection and my wife was blown away by the Burgundy Red Classic Set. After applying the base coat, apply the first coat of paint, dry and then apply the second coat of paint. They said it applied smoothly and evenly. Colors were consistent and not muddy. After applying the top coat and drying, her nails definitely looked as good as they did at a professional nail salon. Sure, it's a little less work and a chance to chat with the manicurist at the nail salon, but my three wives had a blast. They also got the chocolate they needed and three husbands who prepared delicious barbecue for them. I think success is measured by how they use other color collections from this manufacturer for their next nail salon party. Added a photo of my sister-in-law.
