This solved my problem. The car didn't think I was trying to steal it. Note however that it has to be programmed by the dealer so either they have to install it or you install it at your site and have it shipped to the shop which I doubt most shops will agree to. In my case, my neighbor works as a mechanic at a dealership. I removed the covers so he could quickly replace them, I only paid for an hour of programming work.
