These shorts are gray and very soft and comfortable. They are made of 90/10 polyester/spandex and are breathable without noise. They are well tolerated at school and at home. My son is quite picky about clothes like most kids and they seem to be holding up well. There are no problems with the fabric. The stitching is neat and I honestly couldn't find an extra stitch - I'm a seamstress and this shirt is very well made. The drawstring is functional. These are great solid color shorts at a reasonable price but if they hold together and look good when my child outgrows them then to me the extra money is worth it. I wash with Original Tide powder in cold water. and fragrance enhancers and tumble dry low/medium. I didn't notice the shorts shrinking or had any issues with fading or setting other colors. The short h is a really great line and hasn't had any problems so far.
